The early model engine uses an aluminum lower intake manifold and requires the long fuel rail mounts included in the kit.
It requires the short fuel rail mounts included in the kit.
Appropriate fittings must be selected based on the specific application.
Upgrade rails only upgrade the rail and the OEM fuel injectors can be reused.
If an upgrade to the injectors is desired, they must be equivalent to the OEM injector, meaning they must be the same height and the upper & lower O-rings must match the OEM diameters and styles.
OEM or OEM equivalent injectors must be used.
While this kit is compatible with both early model aluminum and late model plastic lower intake manifolds, it is not compatible with early model aluminum upper intake manifolds.
