The EA888 Gen3 factory Downpipe includes a pre-catalyst that restricts exhaust flow from the IS38 or IS20 turbocharger. This catless Downpipe removes that restriction — directly improving turbo spool, reducing exhaust back pressure, and providing the exhaust path needed for serious tuned EA888 Gen3 builds.

Note: downpipe fitment follows engine output/turbo specification rather than chassis alone — Golf R, S3 8V and TTS 8V share the same higher-output EA888 Gen3 tune (IS38) and downpipe flange. This kit does not fit Golf GTI or Audi A3/TT 8V, which use a different downpipe specification (see our separate GTI/A3 kit), nor MK8 Golf or Audi 8Y platform vehicles.
