The EA888 Gen3 factory Downpipe includes a restrictive pre-catalyst. This high-flow catted Downpipe replaces it with a less restrictive catalyst — improving exhaust flow and turbo response while retaining catalytic converter function for road use.

Note: downpipe fitment follows engine output/turbo specification rather than chassis alone — Golf R, S3 8V and TTS 8V share the same higher-output EA888 Gen3 tune (IS38) and downpipe flange. This kit does not fit Golf GTI or Audi A3/TT 8V, which use a different downpipe specification (see our separate GTI/A3 kit), nor MK8 Golf or Audi 8Y platform vehicles.
