The MK5/MK6 and 8P platform's factory intercooler and downpipe were sized for a much milder factory tune than most owners are running today. Tackling both restriction points together — heat soak at the intercooler, back pressure at the downpipe — is the combination that actually moves the needle on this platform, rather than chasing one bottleneck at a time.

Note: the MK5/MK6 Golf and Audi 8P share the same EA113/EA888 Gen2 platform — same engine bay, same flange, same result. This kit does not fit MK7/MK8 Golf or Audi 8V/8Y platform vehicles, which use a later-generation engine and different fitment.
