The factory Intercooler on the EA888 Gen3 platform was sized for stock power levels on normal road use. As tuning targets increase or ambient temperatures rise, the OEM core runs out of cooling capacity quickly — heat soak becomes a consistent issue on back-to-back pulls.

Engineering Focus
Tube and fin core construction — 640×410×55mm — provides significantly more cooling surface area than the factory Intercooler.
Driving Experience
Heat soak is the silent killer of repeated hard pulls — the first run feels great, the third feels flat, and the factory core is usually why. A larger tube and fin core trades nothing for more raw cooling surface, which matters more on a track day than it ever will on a spec sheet.
